Faster Aging Mod

Author of the Faster Aging Mod: Verdiss

The Faster Aging Mod allows you to control the rate at which pawns age (including animals). This mod is intended to be used with a mod that adds reproduction, to allow for multi-generational colonies. It does not increase the deadliness of old age, and as such it is likely your pawns will live somewhat longer than our modern life expectancy. It also does not change the speed of animal pregnancies, nor the rate at which animals spawn on the edge of the map – there may be problematic side-effects with maintaining animal population on higher multipliers as a result.

Upon loading the Faster Aging Mod, you must enter the config menu to set the desired aging speed for humanoids and animals. A multiplier of 10 would result in a pawn naturally aging 10 biological years over the course of a single RimWorld year. You may set the multiplier to 0 to disable biological aging. Age cutoffs define the biological age at which a pawn stops using the before aging multiplier and starts using the after aging multiplier.

Compatibility notes

Children, School, and Learning‘s pawn scaling occasionally causes pawns to inflate to very large sizes in some instances. Try reloading, restarting, or disabling the scaling in CS&L’s config.

The Faster Aging Mod may cause problems with pawn generation, potentially slowing down the game while a large number of pawns are created (raids, caravans, etc.). Unconfirmed.
