Vanilla Outposts Expanded Expanded: Ranch Mod Features
The ranch outpost places a temporary, autonomously-led camp that specializes in raising and butchering animals. Once enough meat, leather, and animal products have been collected, a delivery will be made at the outskirts of a faction’s primary colony.
This outpost lets you raise animals and collect animal products such as Chemfuel, milk, and eggs, as well as meat and leather from culling older animals.
To create this outpost, you need to create a caravan with a male and a female of the animal you wish to raise, along with at least one pawn who is skilled in animals. The animals will then be raised and reproduce there over time, providing animal products if they have any.
Once enough animals have been raised, the outpost will reach a threshold where your pawns begin culling older animals. This is based on their Animals skill, and can produce meat, leather, and butchery results such as elephant tusks or thrumbo horns.
Most multipliers can be tweaked in the mod settings. There is also an option to let you raise animals that do not graze, which is disabled by default.
Animals to be ranched must have the trade tag AnimalFarm, except for Boomalopes.
Compatibility notes
The Vanilla Outposts Expanded Expanded: Ranch Mod is meant to be used alongside Vanilla Outposts Expanded, but it is not required to function.
If you had been using this mod before it was updated, you have two options: either destroy the site using dev mode, or use the older version. If you choose the older version, please do not report bugs, as it is not maintained and will not be maintained in the future.
