mlieSteel Foam Mod introduces Steel Foam, a lightweight and fire-resistant alternative material that can be produced from steel and used for construction, offering a different balance between durability and resource efficiency.
Steel Foam Mod Features
- New material: Adds Steel Foam, an aerated iron-carbon alloy that is cheap, light, and easy to work with.
- Fire-resistant properties: Suitable for situations where fire safety is important.
- Brittle behavior: Strong but fragile, making it less durable under impact.
- Material conversion: Convert 5 steel into 75 steel foam at the electric smelter, and smelt foam back into steel.
- Crafting requirement: Requires level 10 crafting skill to produce Steel Foam, while converting it back into steel is easier.
Compatibility notes
This mod is no longer maintained and will not receive updates or fixes.
