mlieTouch Animal Mod adds a new animal-touching behavior to pawns with enough Animals skill, letting them interact with animals for mood benefits, skill experience and a small chance of recruiting animals to your faction.
Touch Animal Mod Features
The Touch Animal Mod gives pawns a new behavior that lets them look for animals to touch. Pawns need at least level 5 Animals skill, though different animals may require different skill levels.
Touching animals can lift a pawn’s mood and increase their Animals skill experience.
Animal touching addiction
Frequent animal touching can cause addiction. This makes pawns touch animals more often, which can increase the chances of acquiring animals. However, if withdrawal occurs, the pawn will suffer a large mood penalty for a period of time.
Animal joining chance
Touching an animal has a low chance to make it join your faction. The higher the pawn’s Animals skill, the higher the chance of success.
This can also affect characters from other factions, meaning a visitor with high Animals skill may have a chance to steal one of your animals. Animals with owners will not join other factions.
Custom animal types
The Touch Animal Mod includes a UI panel where you can choose which kinds of animals pawns are allowed to touch.
Compatibility notes
The Touch Animal Mod supports RimWorld 1.2, 1.3 and 1.4.

The Touch Animal Mod is unlikely to cause incompatibilities. Animals from other mods should also be affected.
