Search and Rescue Mod coordinates battlefield treatment, evacuation and capture, with a dedicated Field Rescue work type, on-site first aid and medical supply delivery. Supports RimWorld 1.6 and 1.7.
Search and Rescue Mod Features
- Three stackable designations: field treatment, rescue, and capture. The default shortcut applies every valid stage to the selected targets at once.
- Flexible orders: drag over casualties, use their bottom action bar, or click Rescue all to mark eligible friendly pawns across the map. Right-click Rescue all for downed enemies or all factions.
- A dedicated Field Rescue work type: sets the overall priority of battlefield rescue, with Doctor, Hauling and other relevant work types enabling individual tasks.
- Unified triage and matching: assigns patients to doctors, nurses, and carriers using injury severity, blood loss, infection and immunity progress, distance, skill, work priority, current jobs, and switching costs.
- Stabilize first, finish later: field care treats bleeding and supported urgent conditions. Minor wounds wait until a safe bed or rescue point. Work Tab or GrimWorks can assign emergency care separately from routine tending and surgery.
- Automatic CASEVAC: enable Field Rescue and CASEVAC work to evacuate unattended patients first, then join teams or upgrade nearby SAR bed transports. Without a bed, rescuers can carry patients individually to a designated rescue point.
- Coordinated rescue: when doctors are scarce, casualties can be evacuated first. An arriving doctor may intercept a casualty for treatment, while carriers decide whether to wait or help someone else based on the estimated treatment time.
- Battlefield medical logistics: calculates medicine, blood, and special-device budgets from each casualty’s actual shortage. Doctors weigh whether a supply detour is worthwhile, while carriers can deliver missing supplies.
- Player control: manually ordered treatment, carrying, and capture take priority and retain the player’s chosen targets.
- Mech rescuers: select a colony medical or hauling mech and enable Join field rescue. Medical mechs treat and evacuate casualties; hauling mechs deliver medicine and evacuate casualties.
- Supports treatment and rescue for friendly humanlikes and non-hostile animals. Capture applies to humanlikes only. Supports colony-mech repair and evacuation to the rescue point; mechanitors enable Field Rescue and Smithing.
