RimCuisine 2: Bottling and Booze Expansion Features
The RimCuisine 2: Bottling and Booze Expansion Mod focuses on beverage production, introducing new drink categories, crafting processes, and specialized brewing equipment.
New alcoholic beverages
- 19 new alcohol types: Includes beverages such as vodka, tequila, ale, stout, wine, and mead.
- Fermented drinks: Produced in breweries and fermented in casks over several days, similar to vanilla beer.
- Distilled drinks: Stronger alcoholic beverages created by fermenting raw ingredients and distilling them using specialized distilleries.
- Flammable alcohol: Distilled alcohol products can be highly flammable, adding a risk to storage and production.
Non-alcoholic drinks
- Sweet beverages: Includes drinks like iced tea, hot cocoa, energy drinks, fruit soda, and other refreshments.
- Recreation benefits: Provides additional recreational options for colonists after long days of work or combat.
Production and equipment
- Electric brewery: A powered upgrade to the standard brewery that works faster but requires components and electricity.
- Fermentation system: Drinks are fermented in specialized casks depending on the beverage type.
- Distilleries: Electric and fueled distilleries allow further processing of fermented drinks into stronger spirits.
Special beverage
- Ambrosia Nectar: A powerful fermented drink created from Ambrosia. Fermentation takes an entire in-game year, producing a permanently addictive beverage that grants a long-lasting euphoric effect but causes lasting mood issues when colonists stop consuming it.
Vanilla gameplay adjustments
- Beer recipe change: Wort for beer now requires barley and fewer hops, making the recipe closer to real brewing practices.
Compatibility notes
- Wine label patch: Adds a patch that renames wine if Vanilla Expanded Framework wine definitions are present.
- Processor Framework: The mod now uses Processor Framework, replacing the previously used Universal Fermenter system.
- Legacy compatibility: An old Universal Fermenter patch remains available so ongoing fermenting processes are not lost.
- Removed buildings: Old fermenting barrels were removed in version 1.3.
- Additional support: Includes support for Misc. Bees’n’Honey via The Manual.
- Related mods: Shares compatibility with the main RimCuisine 2 mod ecosystem.
