mlieThe Recycle This Mod lets you destroy or recycle weapons and apparel directly through order icons, removing the need to create separate smelting or destruction bills for post-raid cleanup.
Recycle This Mod Features
The Recycle This Mod adds two item orders to affected weapons and apparel:
- Destroy item: Selected weapons or apparel will be destroyed at the closest campfire or smelter, including compatible modded ones.
- Recycle item: Selected weapons or apparel will be smelted or scrapped at the closest suitable workbench, returning part of their recipe resources.
The Recycle This Mod uses vanilla values to calculate refunds, returning around 25% of the original recipe cost. Job speed is also designed to closely match vanilla smelting and burning bills.
The Recycle This Mod also adds a new job under the Crafting work type, placed behind the vanilla jobs. This job can be seen with Fluffy’s Work Tab Mod.
Recent options added to the Recycle This Mod include:
- Extra gizmo toggle: Allows players to hide the extra gizmos on items.
- Complex item return toggle: Allows players to prevent components or other complex items from being returned when recycling.
Compatibility notes
Load the Recycle This Mod after any HAR race mods to avoid compatibility issues.
The Recycle This Mod should be compatible with any modded workbenches, as long as they include the required recipes to burn apparel or smelt weapons. Other mods that add recycling bills are also compatible.
There are two ways items can be recycled:
- Metal items: You need a building with a “smelt weapons” bill, and it must be powered, fueled, or otherwise usable.
- Non-metal items: Clothes, stone weapons, and wooden weapons are scrapped at tailor benches or crafting spots.
To destroy items, you need a building with a “burn apparel” bill, such as a campfire or cremator, and that building must be powered, fueled, or otherwise usable. Unless these conditions are fully met, items will not be recycled or destroyed.
When troubleshooting the Recycle This Mod:
- See if the error persists if you just have this mod and its requirements active.
- If not, try adding your other mods until it happens again.
- Always post your log using the Log Uploader.

- Do not report errors by making a discussion thread, as the maintainer will not get a notification for that.
