RandomThings Mod – Smelt Designation Mod adds a convenient designation tool that allows you to mark specific items for smelting, giving you more control over what gets processed in your colony’s smelter.
RandomThings Mod – Smelt Designation Features
Smelting Designation Tool
Adds a new tool under the Orders tab that lets you designate items for smelting by dragging a box or clicking individual items.
Smelter Integration
- Manual processing: Requires a smelter and a bill to process designated items.
- Flexible control: Easily suspend or resume smelting through bill management.
- Item-based designation: Items can be directly marked for smelting for quicker workflow.
Item Handling Behavior
- Designation removal: Items moved during hauling will lose their smelting designation (vanilla behavior).
- Cancel options: Remove smelt orders by selecting items individually or using the vanilla cancel tool.
Updates and Changes
- Improved sorting: Smeltable items are directed to the smelter, while burnable items go to the crematorium.
- Designator improvements: Added item-based designator for easier selection.
- Harmony requirement: Harmony is now required for the mod to function.
- Game limitation: From version 1.5, only items defined as smeltable by the game can be processed.
Compatibility notes
- Requires Harmony to function properly.
- From RimWorld 1.5 onwards, only items flagged as smeltable by the game can be processed due to game limitations.
