Raise The Roof Mod Features
Build advanced roof structures that serve both defensive and functional purposes.
Roof Types
- Steel Roof: Requires 50 steel.
- Solar Roof: Requires research, 50 steel, and 1 component. Provides 50 watts of power.
- Transparent Roof: Requires research, 50 steel, and 10 synthread.
- Transparent Solar Roof: Requires research of the other roofs, 50 steel, 10 synthread, and 1 component. Provides 50 watts of power.
Other Features
- Ability to remove overhead mountains (unlocked through research).
- All new roof types are equivalent to overhead mountains but prevent infestation spawns.
- Colored zoning indicators make it easy to distinguish roof types:
- Orange = Overhead mountain.
- Yellow = Thin rock roof.
- Cyan = Constructed roof.
- Blue = Constructed steel roof.
- Teal = Constructed solar roof.
- Pink = Constructed transparent roof.
- Purple = Constructed transparent solar roof.
Roof Area Zones
- Green = Build constructed roof area.
- Red = Remove constructed roof area.
Customization Options
- Option settings to enable or disable automatic roof building.
- Adjustable power outputs and roof material cost sliders.
Compatibility notes
It is not recommended to use other roof-building mods alongside this one, as they will not recognize each other’s roof types.
The Raise The Roof Mod is compatible with existing save games. If you plan to remove it, make sure to delete all modded roofs first.
Version 1.3 adds performance improvements for solar-generating roofs and includes options to enable or disable roof types.
Version 1.2 had save functionality issues; it may be necessary to remove and rebuild solar roofs to restore power generation.
This mod uses Harmony for detours and patches.
