Quantum Storage Redux Features
The Quantum Storage Redux Mod introduces several powerful devices designed to streamline storage management and create interconnected quantum logistics networks across your base.
Quantum Stockpiles
Devices placed underneath stockpile zones that allow multiple stacks of items to occupy a single tile.
- Quantum compression: Store multiple items or stacks within the same physical space.
- Automatic item collection: When powered, the stockpile scans adjacent zone spaces and pulls allowed items onto itself.
- Independent local networks: Each stockpile operates within its own local quantum network.
- Safe storage: Items remain fully accessible and nothing is lost even if power fails.
Quantum Warehouses
Advanced devices placed beneath stockpile zones that function both as high-capacity storage and as nodes in a global quantum logistics network.
- Global network connection: All warehouses link together regardless of their location on the map.
- Balanced storage distribution: The network automatically spreads items evenly between connected warehouses.
- Stack optimization: Warehouses attempt to minimize incomplete item stacks across the network.
- Local storage functionality: Each warehouse also behaves like a quantum stockpile.
Quantum Relays
Standalone logistics devices used to transfer items between local storage and the global quantum network.
- Network item transfer: Relays scan nearby stockpile zones or storage buildings and send items to the connected network.
- Priority-based logistics: Items are transferred only if the destination has equal or higher priority.
- Filtered item output: The relay can pull one stack of each allowed item from the network.
- Automatic redistribution: Disallowed items are pushed back to the network automatically.
Changes From the Original Quantum Storage
- Unified storage system: Any storage unit can hold items, resources, chunks, weapons, or corpses.
- Global warehouse network: Warehouses connect directly to each other across the map rather than relying on stockpile connections.
- Improved relay behavior: Relays retrieve only one stack of each allowed item and automatically return disallowed items to the network.
