Nice Health Tab Mod

Author of the Nice Health Tab Mod: Andromeda

The Redesigned Health Tab Mod presents a completely redesigned health tab for your colonists! Now, a doll of your colonist visually represents injuries, showing which body parts are affected. Extensive work has gone into redesigning and grouping all relevant injuries to provide greater convenience.

Nice Health Tab Mod features

The doll will show damage to hands, legs, or fingers, whether they are tended to or not. You will also see implants and missing body parts. Multiple doll variants are available for different genders and body shapes, including a child form for pawns younger than 14.

You can right-click on body parts or descriptions to create medical procedure tasks.

Compatibility notes

First, I would like to mention that I have created excellent XML-based functionality for creating addons. You can find examples in the mod folder. I may upload a C++ program for convenient XML automation later.

Xenotypes

Many xenotypes work well with the basic dolls. However, some may require special body parts due to genetics. You can create an add-on for your xenotype by drawing appropriate images. In the base game, there is support for Impids, Yttakins, and Pigskins, which include tails, horns, and snouts.
(Note: Pigskins technically have hooves but are drawn with fingers. Suggestions for improvements are welcome!)

Body Types

The mod provides standard male and female body types, along with fat and muscular (hulk) variants. A child version is also included. You can create custom variants for any modded body type if necessary, but these options should cover most cases.

Genders

Variants for male and female bodies are implemented. There is functionality for custom genders, though it has not been extensively tested.

Animals / Mechanoids / Insectoids

No. For these, the mod will revert to the vanilla version of the health tab.

Mod Compatibility

  • Compact Hediffs – Works perfectly together. You can switch between this and my mod using a special toggle for non-humanlike characters.
  • Combat Extended – Armor coverage is displayed in millimeters of steel instead of percentages.
  • Elite Bionics Framework – Should be compatible. Let me know if any issues arise.
  • EPOE (any fork) – Confirmed to work fine.
  • Must work with any implant-mod and hair/beard-mod.

Humanoid Alien Races (HAR)

The latest update includes partial support for some HAR mods:

  • ABF: Civil Synstructs
  • NewRatkinPlus
  • Kurin HAR Edition

Some body parts like ears and special organs may not appear, but this is being worked on. An editor is available in mod settings to assign parts for compatibility.

Fixed compatibility with Graphics Settings+ and Performance Fish.

Some mods that change the standard pawn body won’t be supported by default, but you can reassign body parts in mod settings.

FAQ

What about performance?
Performance should be even better than the vanilla health tab.

Can I switch back to the vanilla list if needed?
Yes, there’s a button in the top-left corner to switch back to the vanilla version.

Is it compatible with mid-game?
Yes, it’s just a tab, so it can be added mid-game.

I like the vanilla eyes!
By default, eyes are not displayed, but you can switch to the vanilla version in the mod settings.

What’s the “furry gigachad”?
Fun, right?

1.4?
Actually, it’s for version 1.5, but I might work on 1.4 if I find the time.
