Neolithic Scavenging Mod

Author of the Neolithic Scavenging Mod: mlie

Neolithic Scavenging Mod expands early-game survival by allowing your colonists to scavenge for food and resources in nearly any biome. With a fully customizable in-game mod menu, you can fine-tune difficulty, resource chances, and biome behavior to match your intended level of challenge.

Neolithic Scavenging Features

Scavenging System

  • Scavenging spot: Adds a new scavenging spot that uses the scavenging work type.
  • Biome-based resource chances: Resources can be found in any biome, with harsher biomes like Ice Sheet or Desert having lower success chances.
  • Customizable difficulty: Adjust raw food spawn chances, fail chances, and disable specific tile types through the included mod menu.
  • Save flexibility: Designed to support brutal starts without relying solely on manhunters, cannibalism, or toxic berries.
  • New resource finds: Chance to locate buried slag chunks and random pieces of wood.

New Food Content

  • Wild raw foods: Adds biome-dependent raw food items that can be discovered while scavenging (art is work in progress).
  • Neolithic Dried Mush: A new meal crafted at a campfire (or above) without research. Less nutritious than pemmican, lasts a very long time, and cannot cause food poisoning.
  • Dark Campfires support: Integrated compatibility.
