The Milkwater’s Pipe Gun Mod adds a set of cheaper, unreliable pipe guns based on vanilla weapons. These guns cost fewer resources to craft, but they have a chance to jam, cancelling the shot and ending their burst early.
Milkwater’s Pipe Gun Mod Features
The Milkwater’s Pipe Gun Mod adds the following weapons:
- Pipe Revolver: Costs 15 steel and 1 component.
- Pipe Pistol: Costs 15 steel and 1 component.
- Pipe Rifle: Costs 30 steel and 2 components.
- Pipe LMG: Costs 50 steel and 4 components.
- Pipe Shotgun: Costs 30 steel and 2 components.
Pipe guns are based on their vanilla counterparts and use the same general stats, but they are cheaper to make and can jam. By default, they have a 15% chance to jam, although the updated version of the mod includes mod settings to adjust the jam chance.
The pipe revolver is based on the vanilla revolver, the pipe rifle is based on the bolt-action rifle, and the other pipe guns follow the same idea. The pipe LMG is the only mechanically different weapon, as it includes a bayonet for stab damage. To balance this, it has a higher crafting cost than the other pipe guns.
Raiders may sometimes use pipe guns, and players can craft them through the normal research tree.
FAQ
- Are these guns from Fallout? Yes.
- What is the point of these weapons? They are meant to make early and low-quality firearms more relevant by giving raiders less reliable weapons, encouraging players to craft better guns instead of relying only on raid loot.
- Is there a Combat Extended patch? A patch is available separately.
- Can the chance to jam be changed? Yes. The updated version of the mod includes settings to adjust the jam chance.
