The Mechanoid Recycling Mod lets you recycle dead mechanoids by detaching bionic parts, disassembling corpses into useful components, smelting mechanoid parts into metals, and crafting bionic prostheses from recovered mechanoid materials.
Mechanoid Recycling Mod Features
The Mechanoid Recycling Mod expands what you can do with mechanoid corpses and parts instead of leaving them unused.
- Detach bionics: Remove bionic arms, legs, and eyes from immobilized mechanoids.
- Disassemble mechanoids: Break down mechanoid corpses into electric and hull parts.
- Smelt mechanoid parts: Melt mechanoid parts into metals.
- Bulk smelting: Adds bulk smelting recipes for mechanoid parts.
- Craft bionic prostheses: Use mechanoid parts to craft bionic prostheses after researching Mechanoid Bionics.
- Recycle mechanoid weapons: Mechanoid weapons can drop and be sold or recycled into metals and materials such as plasma crystal fragments.
- Create plasma crystals: Plasma crystal fragments can be combined into full crystals for use in turrets and possibly hand weapons.
- Recover prostheses: Unconnect prostheses from human and mechanoid corpses.
- Future mechanoid reconstruction: The original description mentioned installing human brains into reconstructed mechanoids.
- Improved multi-analyzer materials: The original description mentioned using artificial mechanoid brains to build improved multi-analyzers.
Compatibility notes
The original Mechanoid Recycling Mod is deprecated; use the continuation from Mlie instead.
This version replaces the original disassembly code with patching, replacing Steel with Mechanoid Electronic Parts and Plasteel with Mechanoid Hull Parts. This should make the Mechanoid Recycling Mod more compatible with other mechanoid mods.
Known incompatibilities:
- Other mechanoid mods.
- EPOE.
When troubleshooting the Mechanoid Recycling Mod:
- See if the error persists if you just have this mod and its requirements active.
- If not, try adding your other mods until it happens again.
- Always post your log using the Log Uploader.
- For best support, please use the Discord-channel for error-reporting.
- Do not report errors by making a discussion-thread, I get no notification of that.
- If you have the solution for a problem, please post it to the GitHub repository.
