mlieLess Stupid Romance Attempt Mod improves RimWorld’s romance behavior by preventing pawns from making obviously poor romance attempts, such as courting someone in a stable relationship or immediately trying again after being rebuffed.
Less Stupid Romance Attempt Mod Features
The Less Stupid Romance Attempt Mod changes romance attempts so pawns behave more sensibly in common social situations.
- Stable relationships respected: Pawns cannot perform or be targeted by romance attempts if they have +25 or greater opinion of their current lover.
- Recent rejection respected: Pawns cannot perform romance attempts while the “rebuffed by someone” mood modifier is still active.
- Romance control for gay and lesbian pawns: Pawns are more likely to rebuff romance attempts from someone who is not their ideal gender.
- Breakup adjustments: Pawns are twice as likely to break up if their current lover is not their ideal gender.
- Marriage proposal restrictions: Pawns will not propose marriage if their current lover is not their ideal gender, and will always reject such proposals.
- Psychopath fixes: Psychopaths no longer care if people or animals are killed, regardless of closeness, and no longer have mood or opinion changes based on romance relationship status.
The legacy HugsLib Mod requirement has been removed.
Compatibility notes
The Less Stupid Romance Attempt Mod is incompatible with the Psychology Mod, since the Psychology Mod already reworks romance mechanics.

The original author has stopped playing RimWorld and probably will not update the mod. Source code is included in the mod files, and anyone can update and reupload it without asking for permission.
