Fire Extinguisher Mod

Fire Extinguisher Mod adds a practical firefighting tool for your colonists, including extinguishers, foam mechanics, and additional fire-safety equipment to better control and manage fires in your colony.

Fire Extinguisher Features

• Fire extinguisher tool: Adds a usable firefighting item crafted at the machining table using steel and components.
• Research integration: Requires dedicated Fire Extinguisher research available in its own tab.
• Fire foam system: Optional foam mechanic that degrades over time and helps clean filth as an active detergent.
• Cleaning interaction: Foam can be automatically cleaned if within an allowed cleaning zone.
• Dedicated storage: Adds a special shelf for storing extinguishers, built from metal or stone.
• Fire foam belt: Wearable belt that automatically triggers when the pawn is on fire, or can be manually activated near flames.
• Crafting expansion: Belt becomes available after fire foam research.
• AI expansion (planned): Fire Warden behavior for pawns to actively fight fires using extinguishers.
• Simple Sidearms support: Includes compatibility patch to prevent extinguishers from being selected in combat.
• Pacifist interaction: Pawns incapable of violence can use extinguishers unless Simple Sidearms Mod is active.
• Save compatibility: Can be added to existing saves, but all related items must be removed before uninstalling.
• Configurable settings: Changes in mod options require a game restart to take effect.

Compatibility notes

• Save compatibility: Safe to add mid-save. To remove, all mod-related items must be cleared first.
• Simple Sidearms interaction: Alters usage rules and prevents extinguishers from being selected during combat.
• Pacifist limitation: Extinguishers are technically classified as weapons, which may restrict usage depending on mods.
• Settings update note: Restart RimWorld after changing mod options.
• Version upgrade warning: When upgrading from older versions, old config files may cause errors and should be removed.
• Translations: Includes French and updated Traditional Chinese translations.
