Electric Fences and Floors Mod Features
The Electric Fences and Floors Mod introduces several new defensive structures designed to integrate directly with your power network:
- Electric fence: Functions as a power conduit that can be climbed (similar to sandbags), but deals burn damage to potentially hostile entities such as animals and neutral factions when powered.
- Electric fence gate: A gate that can be opened by anyone but still damages potentially hostile factions when powered.
- Plasma fence: An advanced version with a different power calculation system that favors large, stable power supplies.
- Stun floor panels: Electrified flooring that can incapacitate targets.
Mechanics
The Electric Fences and Floors Mod calculates damage based on the power grid’s current state:
- The fence’s damage scales with positive power gain in the grid.
- Stored energy in batteries increases overall efficiency.
- Higher available power results in stronger effects, ranging from minor burns to lethal shocks that can ignite corpses.
Note that doors cannot be linked directly to fences due to game limitations, as linking is only possible with impassable objects.
Compatibility notes
The Electric Fences and Floors Mod has a limitation where doors cannot be linked to fences because the game only allows linking to impassable objects.
