Drug Response Mod enhances RimWorld’s drug policy system by allowing colonists to automatically respond to pain, illnesses, and conditions using configured drug treatments. It acts as a quality-of-life layer on top of vanilla mechanics, reducing the need for manual intervention while maintaining compatibility with existing drug policies.
Drug Response Features
- Automated drug responses: Configure how colonists use drugs to react to pain, illnesses, and other conditions.
- Policy integration: Works alongside vanilla drug policies rather than replacing them, requiring proper policy setup for functionality.
- Caravan support: Colonists can use drugs while traveling, provided the caravan carries the required items.
- Medical synergy: Integrates with tending and surgery systems, allowing drug use either through tasks or medical bills.
- Multiplayer support: Includes native compatibility with Multiplayer.
- Save compatibility: Can be added to or removed from existing save games.
Mod Support and Integrations
- Expanded compatibility: Works with a wide range of drug-related mods with additional patching support.
- Patched mods: Includes compatibility patches for Apothecary, Diseases Overhauled, Medical Supplements, RimCuisine V1.2, RimCuisine V2, Smokeleaf Industry, Smokeleaf Industry – Reborn, Social Supplements, and Vegetable Garden Medicine.
- Additional integrations: Supports Medicines+, Remedies, Medicine Expanded, and Pharmacy.
Usage Notes
- Policy updates: When adding new drug mods mid-save, colonist drug policies must be updated to include new drugs.
- Limitations: Colonists will only use drugs that are available on the map or within the caravan inventory.
- Humanlike restriction: Applies only to humanlike races with standard organic health systems.
Compatibility notes
This mod is broadly compatible with most drug mods but may require additional patching for full functionality with custom drug types. Compatibility with some mods is subject to ongoing updates.
