The Chimera Creation Mod allows you to create and tame chimeras in RimWorld, inspired by the creatures from the Anomaly DLC. While Ludeon didn’t originally allow for taming chimeras, this mod fixes that! Now you can have a giant, fluffy chimera with advanced trainability and rage speed to guard your colony.
Chimera Creation Mod Features
- Create tame chimeras: Research a new chimera creation ritual after encountering wild chimeras.
- Advanced trainability: Chimeras have advanced training capabilities and rage speed, just like their wild counterparts.
- Specific forms: The type of animals used in the ritual determines the specific form of the chimera.
- New prosthetic: An adrenal heart for chimeras that increases rage speed, attack speed, and hunger rate.
- Inhumanization interaction: Inhumanized pawns act as if they have +12 animals skill when interacting with chimeras.

How to Create a Chimera
To create a chimera, you must research a new ritual after encountering wild chimeras. You’ll need a shard and animals with a combined meat yield of at least 151. If you don’t meet this threshold, the animals will turn into a pile of twisted meat. Excess meat is refunded as twisted meat. Be careful—the ritual can fail, creating a hostile fleshbeast instead!
Dangers!

- Diet: Like wargs and ghouls, chimeras can only eat raw meat and corpses. When hungry for too long, they become permanently hostile.
- Pack hunters: Multiple hungry chimeras can lead to dangerous situations in your colony. Use caution when trying to slaughter them.
Mod Settings
This mod includes settings to customize your experience:
- Preventing chimera betrayal.
- Allowing chimera betrayal to be reversed.
- Adjusting the meat requirement for the ritual.
- Making chimeras normal carnivores (able to eat cooked/processed food).
- Enabling the taming of wild chimeras (not recommended).
Mod Compatibility
This mod is compatible with animal implant mods and cross-mod animal interactions. Other modded animals can determine what form a chimera will take during creation. The psychic recruiter from the More Archotech Garbage Mod can also be used to tame wild chimeras, regardless of your settings.
This mod requires either Prepatcher (recommended) or Harmony to function.
