The BioReactor Mod introduces a living battery system that generates electricity by storing living beings inside specialized reactors. These BioReactors consume food as fuel and preserve the stored creature while converting its biological energy into power.
BioReactor Mod Features
- Living battery system: Generate electricity by placing a living being inside a BioReactor.
- Food-powered reactor: BioReactors consume food-type items as fuel, with raw food used by default.
- Creature storage: Living beings stored in the reactor are preserved semi-permanently, similar to a cryptosleep casket.
- Flexible storage: Any entity capable of movement can be stored inside the reactor.
- Optional fuel processing: Stored creatures can be melted into chemfuel if desired.
- Multiple reactor sizes: Different reactor sizes produce varying base amounts of electricity.
- Power scaling: Energy output scales with body size and race type.
- Manual loading: Pawns can be placed into the reactor through direct orders or by carrying a downed pawn.
Power generation
- Base power generation: 1000 / 1200 / 1400 depending on reactor size (2×2, 3×3, 4×4).
- Body size multiplier: Power output is multiplied by the stored creature’s body size.
- Race multiplier: Humanlike 100%, non-humanlike 50%, non-biological types 0%.
Technical details
- Storable entities: Any creature capable of movement.
- Storage capacity: 1 entity per reactor.
- Fuel type: Food (raw food by default).
- Research prerequisite: Biofuel Refining.
