Auto-Name Animals Mod

Author of the Auto-Name Animals Mod: mlie

The Auto-Name Animals Mod automatically assigns proper names to newborn, hatched, and newly tamed animals, just as if you had pressed the “Randomize” button in the naming UI, but without any manual work.

Auto-Name Animals Mod Features

  • Automatically names newborn animals as soon as they are born.
  • Automatically names animals when they hatch from eggs.
  • Automatically names newly tamed animals on successful taming.
  • Shows a message when an animal hatches.
  • Uses the same style of random names as the in-game “Randomize” option.

Compatibility notes

  • If you encounter an error, first test with only the Auto-Name Animals Mod and its required mods active.
  • If the error disappears, re-enable your other mods one by one until the problem reappears to identify the conflict.
  • Always post your log using the Log Uploader when requesting support.
  • For best support, use the mod’s dedicated Discord channel for error reporting.
  • Do not report errors via Steam discussion threads, as the author does not receive notifications from them.
  • If you find a solution to a problem, please share it on the GitHub repository.
  • Use RimSort to keep your mod list properly ordered and minimize conflicts.
