As Simple As A Rack Features
The As Simple As A Rack Mod introduces both basic and refrigerated racks that can store a wide variety of items while integrating naturally into your colony’s infrastructure.
Simple racks
- Construction: Require Smithing research and a small amount of metal as a frame. Can be built from stone, wood, or rock.
- Sizes: Available in multiple sizes for flexible storage layouts.
- Storage: Can hold almost any item except corpses and chunks by default, with normal priority and no rotten items allowed.
- Decay behavior: Items will still deteriorate unless placed under a roof.
- Movable: Can be minified and moved without deconstruction.
- Structure: Can support roofs.
Refrigerated racks
- Construction: Require Air Conditioning research, plus steel and components in addition to base materials.
- Sizes: Available in the same size variations as simple racks.
- Preservation: Prevents food, meals, medicine, and corpses from rotting when powered.
- Unpowered behavior: Items will still not decay even when unpowered due to the closed storage design.
- Structure: Can act as roof supports due to their sturdiness.
- Not movable: Cannot be minified once built.
Additional features
- Outdoor protection: Items stored in racks will not deteriorate when placed outside.
- Ceiling light: Adds a simple ceiling light for additional utility.
Compatibility notes
The As Simple As A Rack Mod must be placed after RimFridge Mod in the load order.
