Arrow Please Mod expands RimWorld’s ranged combat with neolithic weapons, medieval crossbows, powerful siege engines, and flaming arrow variants. Designed to strengthen tribal and medieval playstyles, it intentionally increases difficulty—especially when flaming arrows enter the battlefield.
Arrow Please Mod Features
Neolithic weapons
- Throwing Torch (30 wood): A throwable burning stick. Very inaccurate, but can ignite targets. Usable in melee with higher hit chance but low ignition rate. Cannot be refueled.
- Sling (10 fabric or leather): Cheap and inaccurate, but painful if it lands a hit.
- Tomahawk (50 stone or metal + 10 wood): Usable in melee and ranged combat. Significantly stronger in melee.
- Blowgun (20 wood + 10 herbal medicine): Fires toxic darts that deal low damage but poison targets, reducing consciousness and potentially causing fatal overdoses.
Medieval weapons (require Crossbow research)
- Light Crossbow (50 wood + 20 steel): More damage than bows, shorter range, longer reload. Includes flaming version.
- Arbalest (40 wood + 50 steel): Improved damage, accuracy, and range. Slower reload in close combat. Includes flaming version.
- Waist-Stretched Crossbow (75 wood + 55 steel): Large ancient-style crossbow with extreme range and damage, but very long reload time.
- Repeating Crossbow (100 wood + 30 steel): Fires 5 arrows in a burst. Low accuracy and damage per shot, effective at short range.
Siege engines (require Siege Engine research)
- Ballista (150 wood + 30 steel, 1×2): Small manned turret with high damage. Reloaded with wood.
- Triple-Bow Crossbow (200 wood + 60 steel, 3×3): Ancient Chinese-inspired siege weapon with extreme range and high lethality. Reloaded with wood.
- Catapult (225 wood + 40 steel + 20 cloth, 3×3): Launches stone-based projectiles with large radius. Long reload time.
- Trebuchet (300 wood + 75 steel + 30 cloth, 5×5): Functions similarly to a mortar with limited range. Uses specialized projectiles.
Flaming arrow variants
- Alternative versions of all 3 vanilla bows and 2 added crossbows.
- Less accurate, shorter range, lower damage, and rarer (approx. 33% spawn rate).
- Far more dangerous due to fire spread.
- Cost 20 extra cloth (short bow costs 15 extra).
Projectiles
- Catapult projectiles: 1 stone chunk = 2 projectiles, or 10 stone blocks = 1 projectile. Flaming variants available.
- Trebuchet projectiles: 1 stone chunk = 1 projectile, or 25 blocks = 1 projectile. Flaming variants available.
- Human corpse projectile (Trebuchet only): Convert corpses into ammunition. Lower damage than stone, but effective for thematic warfare.
Additional content
- Optional addon adding medieval factions.
- Designed with intentional imbalance to enhance tribal gameplay.
